Panoorin: “Mabait Yung Anak Ko!” - Depensa ng Nanay ng Suspek na Nanagasa sa Security Guard

After the susp3ct, Jose Antonio Sanvicente, who allegedly run over a security guard, surrendered, his mother apparently defended that her son did not want the incident to happen and that it was just an accident.

In a report released by the Philippine Star, Sanvicente's mother can be seen at a press conference at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City as she explains the hardships they allegedly experienced as a result of the inc1dent.

“Hindi ho kami makatulog, hindi kami makakain kasi anak namin ’yung involved tsaka nagviral na eh… Masisira na ’yung buhay ng anak ko. For any parent ba, ganun ba gusto nyo sa anak niyo?” said the mother of Sanvicente. “Mabait ’yung anak ko… Nagtatrabaho siya, he’s a very responsible man and I think ito, aksidente naman talaga ito. Lumaki lang talaga nang lumaki,” the suspect's mother added.

Sanvicente surrendered to the PNP on June 15 along with his lawyer and parents. Meanwhile, according to Sanvicente's lawyer, Atty. Danny Macalino, said that even the parents of the susp3ct are ready to apologize to the v1ctim and that they will also provide the corresponding assistance if needed.

“Ang pamilya ni Anton, mga parents niya, probably siya mismo, they wanted to extend an apology to the victim’s family… and they are willing to extend any help as legally as possible sa kanila,” said Macalino. “That is not to condone the incident, but they are willing to help the victim and the family,” Sanvicente's family lawyer added.
