According to a News5 report, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has already talked to some members of the senate and congress to propose to amend or abolish the partylist system completely in the Philippines.

According to President Duterte, the C0mmunist Party of the Philippines - New People’s Army (CPP-NpA) allegedly used the said system.

 

It will be recalled during the senate hearing on red-tagging, former NpAs testified to reveal how the c0mmunist r3bels were using the partylist to destr0y the government.

One of them said that one of the ways the npa's are doing is they run in congress through the party-list system.

According to Jeffrey Celis aka Ka-Eric, the Makabayan Bloc are said to be members of the CPP. Ka Eric also revealed how c0mmunist r3bels st3al money from people and big company.

“Ang message ko lang is very clear. Magandang pagkakataon ito upang mag-unite ang buong bayan, ang gobyerno, ang senado, ang kongreso, ang executive and even the judiciary for us to stand against the CPA-NpA-NDF. From a perspective of a former a cadre, ano ang kapabilidad ng CPP-NpA-NDF? They can not overthr0w the government but they can make Smart and Globe pay 200 million and more every year, combined. Is that not a thr3at? They can make 300 to 400 million from the NGO racket and they can make triple A contractor,” according to Ka-Eric.
