President Rodrigo Duterte gave his opinion on what Senator Ping Lacson and Vice President Leni Robredo said that the current administration is allegedly asking for money to US in exchange for the continuation of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).

Duterte first asked Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque about his opinion on what Lacson and Robredo said.

According to Roque, other countries such as Pakistan and Turkey get more from the United States than the Philippines, which has long been an ally of the United States.

President Duterte said he could forgive Lacson for what he said because he is not a lawyer, but Robredo had a different case because she knew the law and studied it.

Duterte added that the Americans in the Philippines are not providing enough equipment. He frankly told Robredo that she don't have the ability to run for President.

“Ikaw ma’am. I’m sorry to say, you are not really qualified to run for President, you do not know your role in this government, ‘yang foreign relations with other countries is vested to the President alone,” said the president. “Alam mo ba ma’am as a President, do you know that there are so many depot, maraming mga ar*mas na nakalagay dito sa Pilipinas ang Amerika and do you know that they’re slowly converting Subic into an American base?

He said that this information came from the army itself. “What’s the deal?

The President slammed Robredo and said he is nerv0us if the vice president leads the country one day. “Kinakabahan ako na by chance ay mag Presidente ka,” said President Duterte.

The President even advised Robredo to take a refresher course in law. The Vice President seems to think that the Philippines is still an American colony. Basta libre nalang lahat.”

He added that if Robredo will not win, she would just go to America and live there. He also advised Lacson that he should study his words carefully.

President Duterte will accept Lacson's opinion but says the senator has no power to influence the issue. It will be recalled that Robredo said what the President is doing to the United States seems to be hara*ssm3nt because he is asking for compensation in exchange for the VFA.
