In his latest statement, Former Senator Antonio Trillanes said that Filipinos have a chance to correct the mistake of 2016, the year when President Rodrigo Roa Duterte won the election. He also gave a reaction about the people’s support for Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte urging to run for the presidency in 2022.

“I don’t think this administration will survive enough until 2022. Whether he feels Sara Duterte or whoever, Filipino people will have a chance to rectify their m!stake in 2016 and vote for the Opposition this time,” said Trillanes.

According to the former r3bel who became a politician, President Duterte is losing his popularity. “(Duterte’s popularity is) declining significantly at a pace that’s even faster than the other incumbent before him. He is not that popular anymore. Probably in some parts of Mindanao, Davao in particular. But, largely in Luzon, if you are going to conduct elections now, they are not going to win. More so in May 2022. And you can etch it in stone right now,” added Trillanes.

It will be recalled that in the 2019 mid-term election, the opposition candidates called “Otso Diretso” were def3ated.

Recently, social media filled with the tarpaulins convincing Mayor Sara to run in the 2022 presidential elections. Mayor Inday has said several times that she does not want to be the next President of the country.

“Naririnig ko po kayo at naiintindihan ko ang nasa puso ninyo dahil ako man ay may ganun din na nararamdaman. I believe that even if we will not run for President, in our show of strength and unity, we are able to uplift many Filipino families in need,” said Mayor Sara.
