The mistake of the barangay personnel was immediately corrected by Malacañang. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque explained that food deliveries should not be intercepted because they are among the essential items during enhance community quarantine (ecq).
“Bakit may Grab pa kasi? Bawal na ho tambay. Kasi hanggang bukas kayo, may taong lalabas, may magde-deliver. Nons3nse, Sir.

In an interview with One News, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Usec. Epimaco Densing III joked about viral video. According to the official, it is true that "lugaw" is not essential. The term "lugaw" is used by Vice President Leni Robredo by its critics.
“Tama ‘yung sinabi niya. Non-essential talaga ‘yun sa paningin namin,” said Usec. Densing.

In his interview with GMA News, the DILG Official stood up that Robredo is not really needed.
“Ano siya, pabiro ang delivery pero [that was just a joke but] I’m serious in saying that she (Robredo) is a non-essential today. Wala siyang ginawa. I stand by my position that the Vice President is non-essential,” according to Usec. Densing.
