Nanganganib mawalan ng lisensya si Dr. Ron na sinasabing ‘scam’ lang ang kumakalat na sakit sa bansa

Facebook unpublished the page of the well-known Doctor of Physical Therapy Dr. Ronald ‘Ron’ Samaniego because it spread allegedly false information on social media.

It will be recalled that Dr. Ron became famous on Filipino Conspiracy Theorists for insisting that certain things about the dis3ase that is spreading here in the Philippines are not true. One of the things he said was that the government was only using the pandemic to make money, and it is not true that there is a dis3ase spreading all over the world.

He also opposed the vacc!nes that are now being distributed in the country and said that they are dang3rous to people.

Due to the false information posted by the said doctor, Facebook has decided to delete the Facebook Page of Dr. Ron who has over 700,000 followers.

He created another page called "Bantayan Network" which gained more than 10,000 followers but it did not last long and was also deleted from social media.

 

Doctor Ron's Page is now unpublished on Facebook. Doctor Ron first caught the attention of health professionals after he was featured by Vlogger Doc Adam where he criticized the information he was spreading.

Even the Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc (PPTA) issued a statement against Ronald Samaniego. They are also ready to file a complaint on Dr. Ron to the Professional Regulation Commission to lose his license if any as a physical therapist.

“Mr. Samaniego is not a member of the association. We have reviewed some of the statements he made which are clearly unfounded and without medical value. His claims do not reflect the views of the entire physical therapy profession,” according to PPTA. “We call out his un3thical and irresp0nsible behavior in the strongest possible terms, and we are looking into an appropriate complaint that we can file with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) concerning this matter,” they added.

 

Even the Department of Health (DOH) has criticized the statements of Dr. Ron.

 

The Dr. has not yet given a statement on the possible pun!shment he faces for spreading false information.
