Even though former President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III just placed in his final destination days ago, there are some netizens who are already choosing which of his relatives can possibly follow their footsteps to become the leader of the country.
On Twitter and Facebook, some netizens are pushing former Senator Bam Aquino and sister of former President, Kris Aquino to run in the next election.
“I’m rooting for Bam Aquino to be the next president and Isko Moreno for VP. AquinoLegacy,” tweeted @sarsii4u.
“Bam Aquino for Vice President! Ituloy ang laban ni Pnoy!” according to alex_abano.
“Bam Aquino should consider running for president. PNoy,” tweeted troyjohnsunga.
Some also showed support for Kris to run for presidency.
Netizen ApoFerrer, on the other hand, believes that it helps an Aquino's candidacy if a member of their family d1ed. For him, he believes that the most qualified Aquino today to run for the highest position is Bam Aquino.
“RIP PNoy. Huge factor kung bakit naging president si Cory and PNoy kasi may namtay. Ninoy for Cory and Cory for PNoy. Historically, mas malaki naman naging influence nung parents compared to PNoy but let’s see if another Aquino’s d3ath can impact the elections.” he said. “If we’re following a trend, most qualified Aquino to run for President: Bam Aquino.” he added.
So far, Kris and Bam have not given a statement on what they plan to do next year because they are still busy mourning the former President.
