Mayor Inday, Sinagot ang Parinig ni VP sa Kanya

Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte responded to Vice President Leni Robredo's seeming remark to her city. In an interview, Robredo said that Davao City should imitate Cebu City when it comes to the response against C0V1D-19.

“So tingin ko ang mga lessons sa Cebu, ganoon din. Makakapulot ng aral ang Davao. Kasi medyo iba ang characteristic ng lugar kumpara sa Metro Manila. Pero noong nakita natin, ang sa Cebu ngayon na nagsa-spike ang Western Visayas, iyong Mindanao, iyong Central Visayas, parang iyong Cebu medyo controlled,” according to VP Robredo.

Inday Sara did not like Robredo's statement. The mayor advised the vice president that she should keep quiet if the VP does not know what is happening in Davao City. The mayor also said that Robredo should show respect to the frontliners in Davao City who she allegedly said are not active enough in their work.

“The Vice President should refrain from giving advice if she knows nothing about what is happening on the ground. This has been the hallmark of her term as VP, where she puts forth comments on matters and affairs she lacks understanding and knowledge on and does not offer anything helpful to solve a problem."

“The private sector has been very helpful and has tremendously contributed to the response in Davao City. In addition, The VP should not att*ck the medical community of Davao City as being inactive when they have been silently suff3ring and working tirelessly to help save lives since March of last year. She should open her eyes to the surge of cases in localities all around the world and she might be able to say that a surge in cases where 85% of the cases are asympt0matic is primarily identified by aggr3ssive testing, coupled with tracing and isolation/quarantining.” added Mayor Inday.

She also advised that there is a right time for Robredo in politicking issues and that is when the Vice President runs for the top position next year.
