According to Atty. Matibag, Pacquiao seems to be aligning himself with the opposition. The lawyer also reminded Pacquiao that PDP-LABAN is President Duterte's Party.
“As I have already mentioned in my earlier statements. Senator Manny Pacquiao has long been singing the same tune with the opposition. He has aligned himself with the opposition. So he should be thinking of leaving the PDP Laban Party because this is President Duterte’s Party,” said Matibag.
This was said by Atty. Matibag after President Duterte's statement on Pacquiao's shall0w knowledge in foreign policy.
In Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's interview with President Duterte, the President said that Pacquiao needs to study first because he lacks knowledge in foreign policy issue.

“It’s about foreign policy. I would not want to degrade him but next time, he should — study well first. Apparently this guy has a very shallow knowledge,” said the president.
It will be recalled that Pacquiao slamm3d President Duterte's stance on the issue of the West Philippine Sea.
“Narinig natin bago mag-election, sa pangangampanya, nung sinabi niya na mag-jet ski siya, dala yung watawat ng Pilipinas doon, e syempre, kahit ako sa puso ko, ito na yung iboboto ko dahil ito yung dapat na presidente, kailangan natin, na pinaglalaban yung bansa natin,” according to Senator Pacquiao.
