Opisyal na kinumpirma ng mga kapatid na babae ng dating Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III ang pagpa*naw ng kanilang kapatid nitong Huwebes, Hunyo 24.

Sa isang pahayag na binasa ni Pinky Aquino-Abellada, inihayag ng pamilya na ang sanhi ng pagka*matay ni Noynoy ay renal d1sease na pangalawa sa diabetes. Sinabi niya na ang dating punong ehekutibo ay tahimik na puma*naw sa kanyang pagtulog alas 6:30 ng umaga nitong Huwebes.

Habang nakaharap sa mga miyembro ng media, ang pamilya ay nagpahayag ng pasasalamat sa mga tagasuporta ng dating pangulo. "Mission accomplished, Noy, be happy now with Dad and Mom," ayon kay Pinky.

James Romer Vanderlipe Velina: I disagreed with some of his administration's policies, but I think his administration also did several good things in his time as President of the Philippines from 2010-2016, such as strengthening the economy, enhancing social reforms, upgrading healthcare, aggressively modernizing the AFP, the national military force for external security, dealing firmly with graft and c0rruption, and above all, taking a major power via international arbitration to firmly oppose its aggression over the West Philippine Sea, in which we have full sovereignty via ways of international law, in which we won days after his term as President ends in 2016.
