“Para naman walang pagmamahal, walang loyalty at walang bilib sa sarili niyang party. Kung ganyan na lang, di lumipat ka na lang dun sa partido na bilib ka or sa partido nung personality na sinusundan mo,” according to Koko.
It will be recalled that Pimentel recently endorsed Senator Manny Pacquiao to be President. According to Koko, Pacquiao is what our country needs.
“He has been preparing for this possibility. He has many ideas and he has been explaining many of his ideas as his program of government and there are many people from different sectors of our society and different socio-economic classes who have pledged support to him. For what position di ko alam (I don’t know) but they are there, consulting with him, telling him their problems, sharing with him, dialoguing with him. This is the leader that we need, the president that we need. Number 1, he is one who has a plan for the country, who has the right heart. It’s time to look at the heart eh, in the right place, the right motivation, the right feelings and emotions. I think he will be a good choice of the party to push for President,” said Pimentel.
PDP-LABAN Deputy Secretary-General Atty. Melvin Matibag responded to Senator Koko Pimentel's statement. According to Atty. Matibag, Pacquiao was from another party so loyalty should not be discussed.
“Senator Pacquiao never ran under PDP. ‘Wag na nating pag-usapan na kami yung PDP. Maraming pagpipilian sa PDP-LABAN. Diretsuhan na lang. Ang gusto lang siguro mangyari talaga. Ang tignan na lang natin ay si Sen. Pacquiao dahil siya ang nandiyan. Pero hindi naman pwede na ganun, mayroong iba na pwede maging pangulo,” said Atty. Matibag.

Matibag added that the choice of PDP-LABAN's standard bearer cannot be limited only to Pacquiao because it is also depends on President Rodrigo Duterte's decision.
