“I’m a politician. All politicians are dreaming for a higher position” — Pacquiao

Eight-division World Boxing Champion and Senator Manny Pacquiao has admitted something about his public service plans. In an interview, he admitted that all politicians like him dream of higher positions in government.

“I’m a politician, all politicians are dreaming for the higher position,” said Pacquiao who entered politics in 2007.

He said he will reveal his plan after his f1ght with Errol Spence to be held on Aug. 21 in Las Vegas. “I’m going to announce (my decision) in the proper time, maybe after the fight.” according to the boxing senator.

He also said that he will not protect President Duterte from the decision of the ICC, a court in another country, in case he becomes the next President. “All of us are bound to the law,” explained Pacquiao.


It will be recalled that there was a c0nflict between Senator Pacquiao and President Rodrigo Duterte over the alleged c0rruption in the current administration.

Pacquiao tried to enter politics in 2007 as the representative of the 1st District of South Cotabato but was def3ated by Former General Santos Mayor Darlene Custodio.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, managed to secure a position in the government after he moved to Saranggani and ran there as a congressman.

In 2015, Pacquiao tried to enter the Senate and succeeded. This year Pacquiao is expected to be one of those who will try to reach the top position in government which is the president of the republic.
