'Magtiwala tayo sa liderato ng ating Presidente' — Koko to his PDP allies

Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III urged his remaining allies in the PDP-Laban to stand firm, a day after he was removed from his position in the party.

At a Zoom meeting, Pimentel, the son of the founder of PDP-Laban, said that they are now facing a tough challenging moment, but they need to hold on and trust to their ‘president’ Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao is now in America as he prepares for his boxing match against Errol Spence Jr.

“Tayo po ay may hinaharap na pagsubok ngayon sa ating partido kaya ang importante ay manatili po tayong malakas at magtiwala sa liderato ng ating partido sa ilalim ng ating presidente na si Senator Manny Pacquiao,” said Pimentel, a well known ally of the President at the time. “Huwag po tayong mag-alala kasi ang talaga ipinaglalaban namin dito ay yung boses po ng ating mga chapter members a buong bansa,” he added.

Former PDP-Laban Executive Director Ronwald Munsayac called the July 17 assembly led by the party's chairman, President Duterte, "ill3gal." It will be recalled that even Pimentel did not escape the President's crit1cism.

The President blames Pimentel for the current tr0uble in the party. According to the President, Pacquiao knows nothing and is just following his orders. “Ang nagkamali dyan si Koko, hindi Pacquiao. Pacquiao doesn’t know anything. Totoo, kung anumang sabihin, hindi naman nagbabasa yan e. Basta kung anong sabihin ng mga ano nya, sunod,” said President Duterte.
