
One of those questioned issue was Pacquiao’s educational background and the political science course he took. Pacquiao replied it was legitimate that he graduated from college and that he took 11 years to accomplish it.
“Ako mahaba, 2008, i-check pa nila ‘yung record nag enroll ako ng college noong 2008, sa Notre Dame University sa General Santos City, check nila ‘yung record doon, pumapasok po ako araw araw noong 2008 noong nag college ako, after that noong natapos ko po ‘yung first year college naghanap po ako ng informal education dahil hindi ko po magampanan dahil active pa po ako sa boxing kaya nakakuha ako ng diploma 2019 na,” said Pacquiao.

After the name of Notre Dame University was mentioned, the said school issued a statement and clarified that they did not give a diploma to Pacquiao. “NDUU, obviously, did not grant Sen. Manny Pacquiao a college degree.” clarified of said university.
According to them, Pacquiao only enrolled with them from 2007-2008 and the course he took was BSBA-Marketing Management Program. They also refused to show Pacquiao's transcript to the public because it would be aga1nst their school policy and the law.
