The crit1cism made by celebrities Agot Isidro, Ogie Diaz, Enchong Dee and Pokwang on the wedding of a legislator who was one of those who rejected the ABS-CBN franchise garnered various reactions on social media.

It will be recalled that just a few days ago, the said celebrities crit1cized the wedding of Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Party-list Rep. Claudine Diana “Dendee” Bautista-Lim and her childhood friend Jose French “Tracker” Lim.

Cong Bautista's wedding seemed too engrande because it was held in Balesin Island in Quezon and her gown was created by international fashion designer Michael Cinco.

Some of the viral crit1cisms came from Agot who said that the legislator would have been fed a lot if she had only used what she spent on her gown to buy food for the drivers.

“That gown alone can feed hundred of families of displaced drivers. And you’re representing which sector again Cong Claudine Bautista?” said Agot.

Not all netizens favored this statement by Agot and one of them is the Officer-in-charge of Davao City Information Jefry Tupas.

According to Tupas, the legislator comes from a rich family and they have a lot of businesses that allow them to buy whatever they want. Even her husband Lim also comes from a rich family and is very capable to give everything for his wife.

“Cong. Claudine Diana Bautista Lim comes from an affluent family involved in rural banking, real estate, and many other businesses. Her wedding was a personal affair and she deserved only the best on her special day. It didn’t have anything to do with the sector that she represents, which she has, by the way, been representing pretty well in Congress. Cong. Claudine is married to a son of another wealthy family in Mindanao. Tracker Lim could give his wife everything she wants. Everything.” posted Tupas.

He also said that many celebrities had a ‘racket’ because of the legislator and some of them may have known Agot and other celebrities who crit1cized Bautista.

“Sharon Cuneta, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Arci Muños, James Reid, Enrique Gil, Jessie Mendiola, Bamboo, Yeng, Paulo Avelino, JC Devera, Yassi Presman, Aljur Abrenica, Bella Padilla, Andrew E, Julia Montes, Richard Yap, Daniel Matsunaga — ayan.” Tupas added.

Tupas, on the other hand, advised the legislator to pay Agot, Enchong, Pokwang and Ogie for being “pakialamera” and “inggitera”.

Tupas also questioned why Enchong DELETED his tweet against Bautista which seemed to imply that the 'Kaban ng Bayan' was spent on the legislator's wedding.

Bautista did not respond to the cr1ticisms she received but shared on her social media account how her party-list helped the drivers.
