In her Instagram post, Sharon admitted that it was late when she found out that her impersonator had pass3d away and was reportedly pleading for her help then for her medical expenses.
The actress explained that she did not read messages on her cellphone nor on social media while she was staying in America. “I had deliberately, totally ignored my Philippine phones in the U.S. and enjoyed the radio silence using only my U.S. phone. I hardly checked all my social media platforms and went on them to post then rarely, read and reply to some of your comments.” explained Sharon.

Sharon also said that she did not know that Ate Shawee was s1ck because she did not really communicate with what was happening in the Philippines. “Napakasakit nito sa akin at sa aking Sharonians. Mahal na mahal ko si Marvin at wala akong kamalay-malay kahit nung may sakit siya dahil I was in “escape mode” for peace kahit sandali lang sa Amerika.”

It will be recalled that many netizens were wondering if the megastar actually sent help to her ‘favorite impersonator’ when Ate Shawee asked for her help. “Marvin was trying to reach you mega.. pleading for financial assistance now he’s gone.. it’s really sad that he’s gone too soon! All we could do is pray for his eternal rest,” tweeted @maganduska14.
On July 28, Ate Shawee failed to f1ght her liver cirrhosis. “Palagi rin po kaming nagpo-post sa social media tungkol sa kalagayan ni Tita Shawee para makarating kay Ms. Sharon Cuneta. Baka-sakaling makatulong siya kay Tita Shawee kahit konti.” said Rafaela de Jesus who is Ate Shawee's niece.
