The wedding of Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Party-list Rep. Claudine Diana “Dendee” Bautista and her childhood friend Jose French “Tracker” Lim gone viral in the social media. The wedding was held at the expensive resort Balesin Island in Quezon Province this month.
Everyone noticed that the couple actually spent a big amount of money for their wedding in Balesin. Bautista's wedding gown itself was made by the famous international fashion designer Michael Cinco and the event planner they hired was a celebrity event stylist Gideon Hermosa.
But not all netizens liked the said legislator’s wedding. Even the famous celebrities like Agot Isidro, Ogie Diaz, Pokwang and Enchong Dee could not help but crit1cize Bautista who was one of those who rejected ABS-CBN's franchise renewal.
According to Agot, many drivers will be fed with the money spent by the legislator on her gown from Cinco. “That gown alone can feed hundred of families of displaced drivers. And you’re representing which sector again Cong Claudine Bautista?” said Agot.
Enchong, on the other hand, apparently accus3d Bautista and said that the money used by the legislator for her wedding came from drivers and commuters. “The money for commuters and drivers went to her wedding. Let’s not prolong this conversation and don’t say otherwise.” posted Enchong.
Ogie Diaz added that the legislator should show the receipt to the public.
Pokwang also commented to the legislator's lavish wedding. “Ok ano na? ang class ng representative ng mga drivers ha.. naka Michael Cinco na wedding gown.. edi wow!! BONGGA KA DAI!! BONGGA KA DAI!! Beep! Beep! tabiiiiiii!! ang masagasaan edi sorry..” tweeted Pokwang.
It is not known if Bautista’s decision had anything to do with ABS-CBN, this is why she got these criticism from the said celebrities.
Bautista has not yet responded to the criticisms against her from the netizens especially from the celebrities.
