The Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Party-list Rep. Claudine Diana “Dendee” Bautista-Lim released a statement after their marriage was crit1cized by some netizens and celebrities like Agot Isidro, Ogie Diaz and Enchong Dee.

It will be recalled that on August 14-15, Bautista's grand wedding to her childhood friend Jose French "Tracker" Lim was crit1cized and gone viral on the social media.

As a result, Bautista was deeply saddened and hurt because her marriage was affected from the issue of her, being a public servant. According to her, for a long time, even before the pandemic started, they had planned already what would happen to their wedding.

“It pains us to see how things after our wedding turned out. This was supposed to be the culminating event of a decades-long love story,” Bautista said in her official statement.

“We both found many of the comments heartbreaking. This celebration of our love was a product of my husband’s hard work,” she added.

She also clarified that they wanted their wedding to be private, but fashion designer Michael Cinco mistakenly posted it.

“I have dedicated most of my life to public service, but I was hoping to have this experience in private with my husband, the same way that most people who marry love of their lives do. We had no intention of making our wedding a public affair, so we kept it as intimate as possible. However, access was unintentionally given through the post of my wedding gown designer, Michael Cinco and he mistakenly posted about the private event. He has since, also apologized for bringing unwanted attention to an event that was supposed to be separate from my life as public servant.” continued Bautista.

Now she says she will focus only on helping those in need. Only her legal team will take action against those who are throwing stones at her.

“I will no longer indulge in the statements by people of influence against me as I will leave it up to my legal team to address this. As a public servant, I have always been transparent with my office’s accomplishments and ongoing efforts, and we will continue to do so despite detractors aiming to change the narrative and devalue our achievements. Kaysa magsiraan tayo, ilaan natin ang enerhiyang meron tayo bilang isang komunidad sa pag-ahon mula sa pandemyang ito.”

It will be recalled that actor Enchong Dee has apologized for his accusat1ons that Bautista allegedly embezzled what she used in her wedding.

Rep. Bautista comes from a wealthy family and they have quiet a lot of various businesses, while her husband is also a successful businessman.
