Share:

Television host and Actress Toni Gonzaga's interview with Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. became controversial. Toni was cr1ticized on the social media platform Twitter for allegedly giving the platform host to the former senator to spread propaganda about his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos.

Toni's message to her critics then spread again on social media. “I’ve reached a point in my life where I realized that other people’s perception of me is not my responsibility anymore. Na parang pag sinabi sa akin ng isang tao na one plus one equals 10, I’ll just tell that person yes you’re correct, you’re right. ara whatever judgement or assumption they have of me I feel like I don’t have anymore, the need to explain, to prove, to defend and to hide. Because I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to defend, I have nothing to prove, I have nothing to explain to anybody because I know who I am deep inside.” said Toni to Edu Manzano in an interview on Good Vibes with Edu in 2020.

Read the reaction from the netizens on the controversial interview between the Television host and Actress Toni Gonzaga and Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.:

Treg Bow: All eyes and ears on her because she is Toni Gonzaga. Pag in-interview ko ba si BBM na gaya nito, will you be interested? Of course not. Ilang taon na akong fan nya and she remained consistent. Ilang beses ka nang kinutya ng mga tao, sa lahat ng kilos at salita mo, even sa itsura mo but they can never put you down and you are always vindicated. Stay strong and again, wag kang patibag sa mga yan.

Nimfa Soriano15: What a brilliant guest BBM. And what a brilliant blogg of Toni Gonzaga. Ito na ang pinaka da best na napanood kong blog from bloggers. Thanks a lot Toni.

Nanette Camacho: While watching this video, I felt emotional, I cried in fact, the memory of my childhood came back, how me and my siblings survived school without any cents in the pocket, we still had something to eat, thanks to the free food like nutriban, milk and cocojam from the government. Those were the days when all my playmates, siblings, were happily singing "Bagong Lipunan" in school and even while playing I felt blessed because I experienced the government of President FEM. Thank you Toni G

Archibald Elliott: Thank you Ms. Toni Gonzaga. This interview made me realize how good former President Ferdinand E. Marcos was. This interview made me realize also that Mart1al Law and those abus3 (if there's any) in time of former President Marcos was just a sacr1fice for a better Philippines. Mas naliwanagan ako kasi hindi ito yung tinuro sa amin sa school. Na masama si former President Marcos, pero hindi naman pala. I will definitely vote Mr. Marcos this coming election. Thanks to you Ms. Toni Gonzaga for spreading the truth lalo na sa mga kabataan!

Jasmine Noval: My take on this Interview is that, Toni only showed in a subtle manner who Bongbong really is, as a Person. A good natured and meaning interaction. If the Interviewer were the likes of Korina Sanchez, it would have geared to Politics and Marcos regime. Bongbong only has praises for his Dad because after all, he is his father's Son who look up to his Dad and witnessed how he works hard on his position and he only elaborated the priviledged life they had, depicted as children of the President. And a Son as he is, Bongbong and his Dad are still two different people. Bongbong demonstrated no cyn1cism and no l0athing for people who judged them for their Last Name. Because true to that, No Politician will never be cr1ticized whether he do good or b@d. He only uttered factual occurence. Never b@d mouthed anyone. Having the priviledge to study and live in the West, he is even more Filipino than those Filipinos I know who also had the opportunity to study and live abroad. Bongbong Marcos is an eloquent, spontaneous, optimistic and an Intellectual man. In this Interview, we came to know who Bongbong Marcos really is. He is a man with conviction, dignified, has morals and Integrity.
