In an interview with him by Toni Gonzaga on her vlog ‘Toni Talks’, the Pambansang kamao said that his boxing career is over if he is the man chosen to lead the country.
“Boxing career ko? Tapos na ang boxing career ko, tapos na kasi matagal narin ako sa pagbo-boxing at ‘yung pamilya ko laging sinasabi na ‘tama na’ nagtuloy tuloy lang ako kasi passionate ako talaga sa sports na ito,” said Pacquiao.
Pacquiao said he intends to only support Filipino boxers so that the country can have a champion again in the future.
He also said that he used to work in his district and gave a lot of housing to the people.
It will be recalled that Pacquiao announced to run as President of the country under PDP-Laban. He promised to end c0rruption and provide housing to poor countrymen. But many netizens continue to question whether Pacquiao will be able to lead the country.
