At a gathering in Arroceros Park, Moreno pr0tested against the national government’s response to the pand3mic. “Ang hirap kausap ng bingi. Ang hirap kausap ng bungol. Mayor Isko recently lashed out at the Duterte Administration over the purchase of face shield. According to Isko, they should buy medicines such as Tocilizumab and Remdisivir instead of face shields.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, on the other hand, rebuked the mayor. According to Roque, the purchased face shields are for the frontliners. Roque also clarified that there is a shortage in the global supply of Tocilizumab and Remdisivir which is why the government cannot import the medicines even if the government wants it.
Roque added that Isko is only politicking because he will run in the 2022 elections.
