Last September 23, the President l@mbasted Pangilinan amid the senate's inv3stigation into the controversial transaction between Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp and the government.
“You have not contributed any meaningful legislation sa ating bayan. Puro agriculture, agriculture, ang kinakain mo naman steak. Puro kayo analysis, analysis analysis, it results into a paralysis,” according to President Duterte.
Some netizens could not help but show support for Sharon over the cr1ticism the President said to her husband. “Gusto mo daw kasi steak. Napanood ko si Mang Kanor. Agri agri daw pero steak naman daw kinakain.. I’m like what is he talking about?” said @tessbalagtas.
Sharon, on the other hand, defended and said that it was okay for them to eat steak because it was not stolen from people's money.
“Steak comes from livestock. Food source pa rin at kahit di naman araw araw steak ang kinakain, so what kahit buong baka ang kainin nyo when kaya nga nagtatrabaho para makakain ng mabuti ang pamilya at mga kasambahay!” answered Sharon. “Kung yun lang naman ang mapipintas naku thank u! Kesa naman ninanakaw namin ang dapat sa taongbayan at ayaw namin-explain saan napunta pera” she added.
It is not known whether Sharon is alluding to the current administration amid the Pharmally controversy. It will be recalled that the megastar was then close to the President, but also because of her husband who is a member of the opposition, her family still could not avoid cr1ticism.
In 2020, the actress seemed to have moved the fence and said that she hopes that the ‘disente’ will return in the next administration. “Pagkatapos ng term ni Pangulong Duterte, sana talaga manalo si VP Leni kung tumakbo siya. Baka sakaling bumalik ang pagka disente ng karamihan sa atin.” Sharon said in her emotional message in 2020 amid the cr1ticism her daughter Frankie had previously received.
