Panoorin — Pacquiao tells Drilon: Use your common sense

Presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao has a challenging message to those who will compete against him in the presidential candidacy next year.

In his statement, Pacquiao said he would rather debate with the candidates in person rather than go through it online. “Personal, face to face huwag online. Ano natatakot sila? Huwag ’yung online-online ka. Para magkaalaman. Maganda ’yung personal, ’wag ’yung online. Siyempre gusto nila ’yan, ‘Ah, si Manny Pacquiao ano kaya isagot niyan sa debate?” said Pacquiao. “Sinasabi ko naman sa inyo hindi ako papasok dito kung hindi ko alam ang mga gagawin ko.” he explained.  "Sinabi din nito na wala siyang itinatago kaya naman malakas ang loob niya na harapin ang hamon na tumakbo sa pagkapangulo. Wala ako tinatago. Sincere naman ako, wala akong kailangan paghandaan na baka itanong itong bagay na ito na tinatago ko, wala akong ganoon.” added the pambansang kamao.

 

It will be recalled that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) plans to hybridize the presidential debate in 2022. “Definitely there will be a presidential debate but then again the question is if it will be face to face or virtual so I think it would be better if it is hybrid so we could do the face to face but virtual audience or a virtual including candidates, they can also be virtual if they could not go to the venue with a virtual or limited audience,” said commissioner Marlon Casquejo in an interview this May.
