President Rodrigo Duterte's indirect remark against a candidate who uses ill1cit dr*ugs are now viral on social media.

In his speech, the president also called the said candidate a "weak leader" who was allegedly carried only by his father's name. “May kandidato tayo na nagko-coc@ine. Mga anak ng mayaman. Anong nagawa ng taong ‘yan? What contribution has he made? Bakit parang ang Pilipino, lok0ng-l0ko.” said President Duterte.

Many netizens believe that presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos is being t@rgeted by the president because in 2016, the candidate also faced the same accus@tion. Again in 2016, some netizens accus3d Marcos of allegedly using ill3gal dr*ugs.

 

According to the petition released by Macario July on  change.org in 2016, they said that Marcos allegedly used ill3gal dr*ugs. “We believe that this is the reason why Bongbong Marcos has been ‘seeing’ things and imagining things that are unreal and far from the truth, affecting lives of Filipinos.” according to the petition.

Among those who signed the said petition was Rodel Jayme, a well known supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo.

But in his statements then, the former senator who was then running for vice president was willing to undergo any test to prove that he was not using ill1cit dr*ugs. “I have always been always open to it. I am willing to undergo a dr*ug test to show my sincerity in the f1ght against ill3gal dr*ugs,” said Marcos according to politiko's article.

 

“Everyone must take a dr*ug test because that’s the only way we can show to the voters that we will indeed f1ght ill3gal dr*ugs,” he added. He also challenged his then political rivals to take the test at the same time. “As what I have been saying, I am wiling to undergo any test, including a DNA test,” Marcos said in an article in the manilatimes.

 

“I can take (a bl00d or d*rug) test if that’s what the people want,” he added.

So far, Marcos has not responded to the President's crit1cisms against him.
