In the latest statement, Mayor Inday Sara asked Filipinos to unite and not argue about the candidates in 2022. “Magkaisa po tayong mga sumusuporta sa administrasyong Duterte,” said Inday Sara “Iisa lang naman ang ating mga pangarap, ang pagkakaroon ng mas matatag, mas mapayapa at mas maunlad na,”
Inday Sara also said that the PDP-Laban did not accept her request for support when she decided to run for vice president. “Ang aking partido ay nakipag alyansa at humingi ng suporta para kay Bongbong Marcos at para sa akin, matapos kong tanggapin ang inyong hamon at panawagan.” shared the mayor. “Tinangihan naman ito ng PDP[Laban] at naiintindihan natin ito pero gusto ko lamang linawin na walang pangalan na sinisira o dinudungisan, walang sinasagasaan, walang inaagrabyado, inaaway, pinapaiyak o inaapi,” she added.
Inday Sara, on the other hand, promised that she wants and will continue and further extend what her father started.
It will be recalled that Go withdrew from his run as vice president and even shed tears while talking to his supporters. “Itong kandidatura ko bilang bise presidente ay maaring magbago. ‘Di maiwasan ‘yung mga changes sa pulitika, napakadumi,” Go says while not being restrained from being emotional. “Merong mga pagbabago pero wala naman akong magagawa dahil may mga position na mga, itong problema sa substitution sa Pilipinas maaring may mabago sa mga tatakbong posisyon sa mga darating na araw,” he added.
President Duterte did not like his daughter's decision to form an alliance with Marcos. The President also did not like what the presidential aspirant and his former assistant Christopher “Bong” Go did, for being emotional. “Sabi ko, ‘Bakit ka mag-iyak, karaming posisyon? Pareho lang din ng pagod ‘yan. Ayan oh, presidente. Baka pala maawa ang Diyos sa iyo. ‘Di, tumakbo ka ng presidente,” said Pangulong Duterte.
