Case dismissed! For senator? — Ibinasura ng Comelec ang disqualification case laban kay FLM o Francis Leo Marcos!

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Second Division dismissed the disqualification case against now impris0ned businessman and internet celebrity Norman Mangusin or better known as Francis Leo Marcos and FLM.

In the resolution released by the COMELEC on December 14, they saw that FLM is capable of launching his senatorial campaign. The COMELEC based the evidence proving that the 42-year-old businessman was actually known on social media by showing the number of his subscribers.

FLM has more than one million Youtube followers while there are thousands on Facebook. He also has groups of supporters numbering hundreds of thousands of members.

 

“It is quite clear that the respondent is very popular specially on social media. This is contrary to the assertion of the petitioner that the respondent is virtually unknown in the country,” according to the resolution. “Aside from popularity, Respondent was able to establish has a significant modicum of support, which is enough basis to have his name printed on the ballot,” added the resolution.

 

FLM supporters, including his lawyer, Atty. Jonie Caroche-Vestido were happy to the decision of the Comelec. No statement yet from the one who filed the disqualification case against FLM.
