The sisters Toni and Alex Gonzaga have been crit1cized for their alleged closeness with presidential aspirant and former senator Bongbong Marcos.
It will be recalled that Toni's husband Direk Paul Soriano showed support for BBM, and Alex's visit to the presidential aspirant's headquarters recently became the talk of social media.
Some netizens on Twitter did not like what Toni and Alex did, so they said that the siblings should be given a lesson by unsubscribing them. “It’s time to teach the Gonzaga sisters a lesson by unfollowing and unsubscribing from all their socmed platforms! No to apologists and revisionists!” tweeted @syrnvrm.
A netizen, on the other hand, said that he deeply regrets supporting the Gonzaga sisters who will eventually only support Marcos.
“Laking pagsisi ko na ang laki ng nagastos ko sa pagsuporta sa magkapatid na to during my teenage years and even considered them my role models since “religious” and masunurin sa magulang, kumpleto ko pa albums and vcd ng movies ni Toni. May bibili ba kung bebenta ko yun? HAHA,” said @xoxo_kieran.
Another Twitter user suggested writing to Alex and Toni's sponsors and tell them to remove their endorsement.
“Puede ba sulatan ang mga brands na nagbabayad sa kanila na wag mag advertise at kumuha sa kanila as endorsers? Mag petition sa mga brands?” suggested @v_vixxy.
A netizen even said that ABS-CBN should remove the Gonzaga sisters from them.
“abscbn should not make the gonzaga sisters renew their contract with them anymore. those two support the son of the dictat0r who closed abscbn down back in the 70s, and also the current regime who refused abscbn’s franchise.” said @aintyourbeetch.
It will be remembered that the Gonzagas are close to the Marcoses. The Gonzaga sisters did not respond to the crit1cism they received from the netizens.
