It will be recalled that the confrontation took place in the middle of the BBM-SARA caravan held in Quezon City on December 8 went viral on social media.
In the said video, the former senator's supporters can be seen meeting the ABS-CBN vehicle and shouting "Layas" and "Bi@s".
The ABS-CBN crew couldn't stop themselves and pointed a d1rty finger at the pro-BBM group.
In a statement, ABS-CBN felt sorry about what happened between their crew and the said group. The Kapamilya Network also asked that people to respect the crews of ABS-CBN who only work and report fairly.
“We expect our news teams to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity at all times, regardless of any provocation and h0stility they may face,” said ABS-CBN. “We also appeal to supporters of political candidates to treat everyone with respect, including members of the media who are doing their best to cover the political campaigns in a manner that is accurate, fair, and impartial,” it added.
BBM's camp did not give a statement on the said incident. It will be recalled that the relationship between ABS-CBN supporters and some BBM supporters is not good, especially when it comes to the franchise of the said network.
