According to some, only presidential aspirants Panfilo Lacson, Isko Moreno, Manny Pacquiao, and Leni Robredo will attend the said program. Because of the said report, Marcos, who is still leading the surveys, has been crit1cized.
On Twitter, #MarcosDuwag went viral for not appearing on the program where there was no really debate. “I think you’re missing the whole point of democracy? We need to know and approve of the president we’re going to vote for? Anong di kailangan ng approval? Ano to soap opera?,” tweeted @GreenNaArcher
“how do u expect him to show up and lead the country when interviews pa lang no show na,” said @heyheyandre_art.
“This is the problem for a candidate who got his fame through the help of spin doctors, trolls, memes, and fake news. He cannot stand on his own. #MarcosDuwag,” answered @krizzy_kalerqui.
There is no certainty whether Marcos will attend the presidential debate that will be led by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) itself.
Marcos' camp has yet to answer why the former senator will not attend the said program.
Read the reaction from the netizens on presidential aspirant and former senator Bongbong Marcos who did not appear in GMA News' ‘presidential interviews’:
Franz Loyola: Same question will be asked, nothing new and he already answered them a million times. He also laid his plan and told this on all his interviews, media and live stream. No need to be a broken record, this media just want nothing but to sh@me him.
