In his speech on ‘Talk to the People’, Duterte urged Filipinos not to vote for Pangilinan. This is because he has enacted a law that protects minors who do h@rm to their neighbors.
“Here comes Pangilinan, yung problema natin ngayon, nang-iisnatch, takbo rito, takbo dun. Do you know why they (children) are so bold to do that, daring, because sa experience nila under the Pangilinan law hindi ka makukulong,” said President Duterte.
He said that there are many loopholes in the said law so children under the age of 15 are also released immediately by the authorities. “Pagdating sa estasyon report na recorded. Go where you want,” stated the president.
Duterte, on the other hand, issued an opinion to lawmakers because the Juvenile Just1ce Law makes it difficult for the authorities to control minors who commit cr1mes. “Itong si Pangilnan talagang di nya ginamit yung utak nya. Helpless ang public, helpless ang gobyerno,” added Duterte.
It will be recalled that Juvenile Just1ce Law has become a trending issue again due to the mrder of siblings Crizzle and Crizville Maguad, both minors. The susp3cts, also minors, are now in the care of the DSWD.
Apart from Pangilinan, Duterte also urged not to vote for Sen. Richard Gordon.
