Senatorial Candidate Robin Padilla defended actress Toni Gonzaga from the cr1ticism by popular Director Erik Matti.

It will be recalled that Matti crit1cized Gonzaga for the actress' showing support for presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos. Gonzaga even shared a post from one of her fans who called her ‘unbothered’ in the crit1cisms she received.

“I cannot fathom anyone, who have access to the same historical facts from our books and Youtube like everyone else, can still have the gall to hold their head so high to the point of being so arr0gant and obnoxious to brush away cr1tics and dissenters even acknowledging and flaunting it with such an insensitive hashtag.” said Matti. “You can do whatever you want with your celebrity power and God’s guidance because this is a free world, after all. But to be brazen, arr0gant and snooty makes all of it despicable, disgusting and really crude.” he added.

In his Facebook post, Padilla did not stop defending Toni and asked the director why he is involving himself into the issue.

“Ano ba yun napanood mo na sinasabi mo Erik matti. Baka propaganda ang ibig mo sabihin nakikisawsaw ka pa sa pagbanat kay TONI G. Kung May karapatan ka sumuporta sa kandidato mo May karapatan din si TONI G. Hindi ka naman pinakikialaman ng Tao sa sinusuportahan mo,” said Padilla. “Pa inglis inglis ka pa,” he added.

Padilla also believes that Gonzaga's decision to support Marcos should be respected. “Artistic at Political freedom niya yun kung sino ang gusto niya suportahan. You love to talk about freedom but you don’t respect the freedom of others.” said the senatorial candidate.“Director ka diba. Kasama sa pinag aralan mo ang pag alam sa two sides ng istorya. Anong makuha mo in Bullying a woman,” his post ended.

Matti has not yet responded to Padilla's post against him. It will be recalled that Matti also crit1cized the current administration several times and even blamed the OFWs for choosing President Duterte.
