It will be recalled that in an interview with popular television host Boy Abunda, Robredo said that Lacson should not be voted because he lacks ‘ground work’.
In his tweet, Lacson, a former chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said that he his life was at r1sk several times when he was a policeman. “I r1sked my life countless times, kicking doors while leading my men to save people I didn’t even know. I fought n0t0rious arm3d r0bbers to make people sleep soundly at night. I saved P300B of public funds from being misused and abus3d. Kulang sa ‘ground work’? I value my work.” said Lacson.
Senate President Tito Sotto also did not refrain from defending his tandem. “Yun palang pinatino ang PNP, nilabanan ang k0rapsyon sa pera ng bayan at 18 taon na maraming mahalagang batas na inakda ay walang ginawa! Aba, bago yun ah!” said Sotto.
