Dawn Chang did not back down from the negative comments she received from netizens. Dawn tweeted back to answer messages and comments. She thanked the netizens who showed her support and encouragement amidst the crit1cism she received.
A Twitter user told her that she should not get involved in politics. He even asked Dawn if she was famous.
"Kung gusto mo magka career wag kang makisawsaw sa politika. Unless gusto mo mapansin at bayaran ang endorsement mo. Kaso sikat ka ba? May fan base ka na ba? Dawn replied,
"kung kasikatan ang basehan para magkaroon ng karapatang magsalita ay ang naturang netizen dapat umano ang manahimik. ung basehan ang kasikatan upang magkaroon ng karapatan magsalita at ipaglaban ang tama, pwes, tumahimik ka."
It will be recalled that Cristy Fermin's legal counsel upheld the statement released by Dawn's camp in which they asked for a public apology. Cristy's lawyer on the other hand also asked for a public apology and also gave a deadline.
Dawn Chang was first recognized in the Pinoy Big Brother 737 edition in 2015. She was the Fourth Big Placer then. She was also a member of the ABS-CBN girl group "Girltrends." She was also a TV host and has been a part of several TV shows.
It will be recalled that Dawn's reaction regarding the introduction of Toni Gonzaga to a person who was allegedly one of the reasons for the closure of ABS-CBN gone viral in social media.
Cristy Fermin also reacted in this issue in her program. However, Dawn's camp reacted to Cristy's allegedly mal1cious comment.
