In her Facebook post, Carlos lam3nted the news that reached her about a candidate invited to the debate that wanted her to be removed to ask question from people who dream to be the next president in the country. The said candidate allegedly said that he would only go to the said debate if Carlos was not among the panelists.
“Not to feed more “noise” in this platform. But, the allegation that one candidate wanted me out as a panelist, as a condition for that candidate to attend last night’s debate, if confirmed, is just TRAGIC,” said Carlos.
The professor also said that this news came directly from SMNI. “It was confirmed by the network though, that one candidate kept on asking details about the program and led them to believe that candidate was coming, until she/he withdrew in the end,” added Carlos.
It will be recalled that four presidential candidates announced their non attendance at SMNI. These are Senator Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Ping Lacson, Vice President Leni Robredo and Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno.
