Former actress Vivian Velez crit1cized the non attendance of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in the CNN debate held on Feb. 7. Only BBM did not attend among the current presidential candidates.

In her Facebook post, Velez said that Marcos' non attendance at the debates was a sign that he had no intention of serving the Filipinos. “By not attending debates, your silence is heard as a lack of commitment to serve the Filipino people. Gising, Pilipinas!” said Velez.

She added that Marcos' strategy of not going to debates could be even w0rse. “Marcos Jr. is playing not to lose by simply guarding his gains. Many have lost with that strategy. We hope this will not be an exception.” said the former actress who is now showing support for presidential candidate Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno.

“It’s important that candidates take the opportunity to speak to the public and present their plans for government. Kung hindi ka humaharap, ibig sabihin wala kang malinaw na plataporma. Gising, Pilipinas!” she added.

It will be recalled that Velez saddened the decision of Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte to work in tandem with Marcos. The actress was pushing then for Duterte to run for the presidency. “In one of my lucid dreams. Nagiisang berde sa mga pula Bakit Inday? Babawi kami kay Bong Go.’No regrets in life, just lessons learned.’” said Velez.

Now that Go is no longer running, Moreno has been chosen to have her support.
