It is a staggering amount of one billion to two billion pesos per day entering their e-cockf1ghting. On the other hand, 5% of their income from Sabong goes to Ang, so traders earn up to 100 to 200 million pesos every day.
As a result, it is possible that Ang will earn three to six billion pesos from those who play e-sabong. “Depende po sa araw yan. Malakas po sa Friday and Saturday.,” said Ang. “P1.5 billion ang matitira. One percent ang expenses, more of less nasa mga P900 million, P800 million matitira sa isang buwan,” he added.
It will be recalled that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) said that 640-M has been donated by e-sabong to the government since January.
PAGCOR chairman Andrea Domingo also said that President Rodrigo Duterte denied the suspension of e-sabong which was denied by Sen. Dela Rosa. Because of this, Sen. Franklin Drilon questions why the government gets so little from the billions of e-sabong revenue per month.
“E kung P3 billion ang kinikita ng Lucky 8, baka po payat ang P600 million to P640 million na sinasabi ng Pagcor na kanilang income dito sa e-sabong,” asked Drilon. “Uulitin ko lang, P3 billion per month even assuming that you incur expenses on this… P640 million per month of revenue by Pagcor is a pittance, is very small compared to the gross income of Lucky 8,” he added.
