Natauhan ba? Binura ni Megastar ang post kung saan tinawag niya ang performance ni Panelo na “nakakahiya”

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has deleted her post against senatorial candidate Salvador “Sal” Panelo where she shared her reaction after the famous lawyer sang one of her songs.

On her Instagram, it can be noticed that she no longer has a post against Panelo where she called Panelo’s performance “nakakahiya” in her song entitled ‘Sana’y Wala ng Wakas’. After deleting it, Cuneta posted some quotes such as "Don't let the ugly in others destroy the beauty in you." and “From now on GOOD VIBES ONLY !!! (pink heart emojis) ”.

 

Some netizens can't hide that they are still disappointed with what Cuneta said against Panelo who can be considered a fan of the megastar.

It will be recalled that a journalist said that Sharon not allowing Panelo from singing her song could d@mage Cuneta's career. He also added that saying this on social media could affect the campaign of her husband Vice Presidential Aspirant Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

Some netizens became even more sympathetic after Panelo said that he only sang Cuneta's song because he remembers his bereaved son who has Down Syndrome.

 

“I’m sorry she feels that way. It’s one of my favorite songs because it reminds me of the great lengths I took to care for my late son, Carlo who had Down Syndrome. I honor him each time I sing the song.” said Panelo. “I also thought I was paying homage to the composer, the late Willy Cruz and of course, to Ms. Sharon Cuneta, by singing it. I wasn’t profiting from it, and certainly not trying to get elected by singing it. I was just trying to entertain the people who took time out of their busy lives to see and listen to us. I don’t understand what’s so offensive about that.” he added.

 

So far, Cuneta has not given a statement on why she did not stand on what she said to the lawyer.

Only us can love our country and this has been the Philippines' colors. Yong ibang color enhances our environment and the people. So lumagay tayo sa dapat nating kalagyan. Huwag ipagpilitan. Let our aspiring candidates present themself and the platform they and you believe para mapabuti ang mahal nating Pilipinas at mga kababayan. Accomplishments are good but it doesn't improve our situation. We need people who can lead us through and triump over our current situation. We cannot afford be stagnant anymore, 30 years in and out of the Philippines, we could have done more. We don't want to be left behind anymore.
