Lacson 'useless' - Pahayag ng Yolanda Typh0on V!ctim noong 2014

Senator Ping Lacson is lately criticising about the steps taken by the Duterte Administration to address the cr!sis caused by the pand3mic. Because of Lacson's insistence, Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo has challenged him to resign as a senator and help the Duterte Administration to resolve the cris!s.

“Gusto mo palitan natin? Okay. Mukha naman magaling ka eh. Hahamunin naman kita ngayon. Huwag ka naman sasama ng loob eh mukhang napakagaling mo. O sige nga, bakit hindi na lang ikaw? Bakit hindi ka mag-alok na ikaw ang magpatakbo ng rollout national program. Mag-resign ka bilang senador at ialok mo ang sarili mo kung ikaw ay magaling. Competent? Sige tingnan natin (Let’s see) how competent you are. You will be welcomed to the administration,” according to Panelo.

 

But this challenge of Panelo has not yet been met by Lacson. The senator has already been given an opportunity to show his ability how to respond to the cris!s.

During the time of Former President Noynoy Aquino, Lacson was appointed as Yolanda Rehab Czar to fill the resurgence of Leyte from the ravag3s of Typhoon Yolanda. But the Yolanda v!ctims did not like what Lacson was doing. Because instead of focusing on the condition of the v!ctims, he focused his attention on the pork barrel issue.

In an interview with Yolanda v!ctim Efleda Bautista, she called Lacson useless. “He is useless. He claimed that the municipal and city governments have not submitted their rehabilitation master plans. But as rehabilitation czar, he should not wait for these master plans. He should do the work,” said Bautista.

Lacson later resigned as rehab czar.
