Singer Regine Velasquez spoke about what is happening in the country today. The singer did not like the news about those people dy!ng everyday because of the pand3mic.

“Bakit parang pinabayan na lang tayo? Kanya kanya matira matibay ganon na lang ba talaga?” said Velasquez. “People are dy!ng people we know relatives friends! Every single day may nalalagas sa atin. What’s happening??” added the singer.

Based on the statement of medical professionals, the Philippines has one of the lowest d3ath rates.

“In terms of d3aths per million population, we are 119th. Our deaths per million population is less than one tenth than that of the US, UK, France, Spain and Italy,” said Dr. Edsel Salvana.

“What’s important especially in our country, let’s look at the number of d3aths. Our case is still below 2 percent. This is below the global average of 2.2 percent case f*tality rate, and that’s a big thing for us, though we have this much number of cases but are d3aths are being maintained at this low level. We’re not saying that we’re excellent in the response we’re doing. There are things we lack but as long as we can keep our d3aths low, as long as we can still manage our severe cases in the hospitals, at iyan po ang pinakabatayan natin para masabi natin na kaya natin makaalpas dito sa obstacle o pagtaas ng kaso na mayroon tayo,” explained DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

As of Saturday, the Department of Health recorded 9,661 additional cases in our country. Active cases are at 9.0% (89,485) and 883,221 have been cured. The d3ath toll today was 145 while the total d3ath toll was 16,674.
