Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno hopes that he will be the one chosen by President Rodrigo Duterte to endorse following the withdrawal of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go in his candidacy.

In an interview with him by reporters, Moreno said it is undeniable that he needed allies in his presidential candidacy. “With all honesty, umaasa ako na ako ‘yung tutulungan mo (President Duterte). Umaasa ako sa lahat ng tulong.” said Moreno “Kailangan ko ng allies, loyalists, believers, followers and volunteers. Kung ako ang mapupusuan nila, salamat, thank you in advance pero ayoko pa rin pangunahan sila until they say so.” he added.

He is also not waiting for the President's camp to talk to him. “Naghihintay ako na kursunadahin nila ako,” continued the Manila Mayor.

It will be recalled that Moreno made an indirect remarks to the President several times to certain issues. He even told the President before he ran in the coming election that they would meet in "October". He also made an indirect remark to the President's daughter, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.

“There is presence, clear presence of political dynasty at hindi ako naniniwala na ang position sa gobyerno minamana, in a democratic government,” Isko said in an interview with him earlier. “Ang demokrasya ang taumbayan ang pumipili, hindi ipinipilit yung mga kalahi nya pagkatapos na niya. Hindi ako naniniwala dyan and I am not gonna vote for that as a voter and I disagree as a citizen of this country.” he added.

President Duterte also cr1ticized Moreno and called him ‘like a c@ll boy’. “Iyan ang gusto ninyo? Ang training — ang training parang — para lang, parang c@ll boy. Naghuhub@d, nagpi-picture, naka-b1kini tapos ‘yung garter tinatanggal niya, hinila niya tiningnan niya ‘yung.. Dapat magsali — magsama sila ni ano ni Paredes,” said Duterte.

Read the reaction from the netizens on Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno's hope that he will be the one chosen by President Rodrigo Duterte to endorse following the withdrawal of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go in his candidacy:

Danilo Guina Manalo: OUR CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT It is most important that the one we choose to vote for President is not tainted with c0rruption and/or other wr0ngdoings. He/she must also have demonstrated the capability to lead the Philippines to progress based on his track record of achievements ("may resibo") as well as his/her track record of applying best practices/operational excellence in his/her initiatives or achievements. He/she must also be articulate in speaking Tagalog and English and is able to express his/her own thoughts spontaneously, confidently and sensibly. Most importantly, he/she must be compassionate and has proven to have the interest of people in his/her words and deeds.

Miggy Santos: Isko Moreno would be the President the Filipinos would be proud of when they watch foreign media interview him on TV. He would have the good looks, stable facial movements, solid voice and diction and most of all the articulateness that comes from being sincere and sure of what he says because he consistently means what he says and he knows what he is talking about. He would have sensible things to say, and there would be no making up stories or f@ke news. The world would welcome the refreshing change from the Philippines where a real rags to richest or rags to success story of a President emerged, and they would be there as he enthralls them with his significant accomplishments after significant accomplishments. At last, Filipinos would have a leader they would definitely be proud of.
