Scripted?

A political analyst believes that President Rodrigo Duterte's cr1ticisms against Presidential Aspirant and Former Senator Bongbong Marcos may have been ‘scripted’.

In the program ‘The Chiefs’, Dela Salle University Political Science Professor Antonio Contreras shared what he sees in today’s f1ght between the President and Marcos' camp.

In fact, I remember in a program, I think it was in another channel, I was asked. At that time, naririnig-rinig ko na and I summoned my gut feel and sabi ko, ‘Malamang Bongbong-Sara yan,” according to Contreras. “And I think because those talks are coming out then, maybe, I’m going to sort of.. look at it at a different narrative that maybe this is part of an entire script,” he added.

Contreras believes that what President Duterte is doing is really to protect Marcos and his daughter, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. “When you slime a candidate early in the campaign and it doesn’t speak, that issue is gone.

He also said that one of the possible scripts is the f1ght between President Duterte and Inday Sara so that people can see that the father and daughter have different beliefs.

It will be recalled that President Duterte's cr1ticisms lately towards Marcos were harsh. Some of his t1rades were that he called Marcos a "weak leader".
